Every season of life has its own beauty

In Ayurveda, life moves through seasons, much like the year. Childhood is the time of kapha, when the body grows, builds and gathers strength. Adulthood is the time of pitta, when we strive, achieve and transform. And as we move into the second half of life, we gently enter the season of vata, a time of lightness, openness and wisdom.

The vata stage of life brings real gifts: perspective, insight and a natural turning toward the inner world. It can also bring its own challenges, as the dry, light, cool and moving qualities of vata increase. We may notice stiffness in the joints, lighter or broken sleep, a more sensitive digestion, dryness of the skin or a restless mind. These are not signs that something has gone wrong. They are invitations to care for ourselves in new ways.

This is where rasayana comes in. The word means the path of rasa, the nourishing essence that sustains every tissue of the body. In this two hour webinar, Dr. Vasant Lad lovingly guides you through the Ayurvedic science of rejuvenation, so you can meet the years ahead with vitality, clarity and grace.

What we will Explore Together

The seasons of life and the doshas: Understand how kapha, pitta and vata each govern a stage of life, from the growth of childhood to the drive of adulthood and the wisdom of later years. See how these life stages mirror the seasons of the year and how both shape our daily needs.

What rasayana truly means: Discover the Ayurvedic art of rejuvenation and why the classical texts honor it as a whole branch of healing. Learn how rasayana supports long life, a clear memory, steady strength, healthy skin and resilient immunity.

Why the vata stage of life calls for rasayana: Learn how the dry, light and moving qualities of vata gradually increase with age, and why nourishing ojas and strengthening the tissues become especially important in the second half of life.

Common imbalances of the later years: Explore how vata may show up as joint stiffness, dryness, disturbed sleep, irregular digestion, forgetfulness or worry, and how pitta or kapha imbalances can also appear. Learn to recognize these early, gently and without fear.

Ojas, agni and the art of renewal

Ayurveda sees aging not as decline but as transformation. The key to aging well lies in two treasures: a balanced agni, the digestive fire that turns food into nourishment, and strong ojas, the subtle essence of all the tissues that gives us immunity, stability and a radiant sense of wellbeing. Rasayana works by kindling agni gently, nourishing each dhatu in turn and replenishing ojas.

The classical texts describe rasayana in many forms. Some rasayanas are herbs and foods, such as amalaki, ashwagandha, shatavari, brahmi and ghee, chosen with care for each person's constitution and digestion. Some are daily practices, such as abhyanga with warm oil, regular meals, restful sleep and a steady routine that calms vata. And some are found in how we live. Achara rasayana, the rejuvenation of conduct, reminds us that truthfulness, compassion, gratitude and inner peace are among the most powerful medicines of all.

When we honor the vata season of life with warmth, nourishment and stillness, its lightness becomes a gift. The mind grows clearer, the heart grows softer, and there is space at last for reflection, meditation and the deeper meaning of our lives.

Testimonials

Silke Zimmermann

I’m very glad I found Ayurprana on the Internet and having the possibility to study online with a wonderful team of great practitioners. This wonderful team at Ayurprana is doing an amazing job in teaching Ayurveda with their hearts.

I am glued to Dr. Lad's lips when he’s sharing all his wisdom and knowledge about Ayurveda. I had doubts about doing a massage seminar online and whether I would learn anything, but the classes are designed in a way that you can ask a lot of questions.

The replays can be watched over and over again, and you ask a friend at home to act as your massage client.

Certainly a life classe is always the better choice, but Dr. Lad gives so much insight into his knowledge and answers any question even beyond the Marma points.

I put the knowledge directly into practice and quickly received positive feedback from my clients.

What first piqued my interest in Ayurveda was an introduction I received in David Winston's 2-year Clinical Herbalist class. I then went on to read Dr. Lad's book "Ayurveda the Science of Self-Healing" and what really drew me in were your YouTube videos of "The Journey Within." Listening to Dr. Lad chant fills me with wonder, brings me to tears and makes my soul feel like it's being called home. The amount of meaningful content is staggering and I am so blessed to have found you all! I have been dipping my toe with Ayurveda for just over a year now and I have met and exceeded my goal weight with the help of your cleanses and yummy healthy recipes! I want you all to know that you have made a huge impact on my life and my heart is with you! Thank you, a million times, for making Ayurveda more accessible and understandable.❤️

This was amazing course. I have been practicing spiritual practices of Sadhguru and may I got to know about Dr Lad when there was a talk between the two. I have been following Ayurprana+ & Dr. Lad since then. I am always impressed when I get to know more about this ancient knowledge. I think there is no difference between Yoga and Ayurveda. I would like to continue this journey and keep learning about Ayurveda. Hope I can be part of your team in some ways.
