Rakta Vaha Srotas - Channels related to blood circulation and its formation

Rakta Vaha Srotas is the channel involved in the production and transportation of the blood within the body. The flow of blood plays a crucial role in the delivery of fresh nutrients and oxygen, while also helping in the removal of waste products like carbon dioxide.

When this delicate internal system finds itself out of balance it can present as a number of disorders; including anemia, ulcers in and around the mouth, abscesses, skin rashes, and inflammation in various parts of the body.

In this webinar Vasant Lad, BAM&S, MASc, founder and director of The Ayurvedic Institute, will unpack the particular imbalances that can present in the Rakta Vaha Srotamsi of the body and the signs and symptoms that indicate an imbalance may be occurring in the patient.

Vasant Lad will draw on his decades of clinical Ayurvedic experience, as he explores techniques and methods to manage Rakta Vaha Srotas disorders in yourself and your clients by using Ayurvedic herbs, dietary interventions, and lifestyle amendments to restore balance and health to these critical channels of the body.

What is a Srotas?

Srotas (srotamsi plural) is a channel within the body through which the essential elements of life flow - the dhatus, agni, malas, ojas, and prana - all move through these intricate networks from one part of the body to another.

The largest srota is the Maha Srotas or gastrointestinal tract (Maha meaning large or great). The smallest srotamsi can be found in the individual cells of the body that are porous - and through these Infinitesimal channels oxygen and nutrients can be absorbed and waste products expelled.

The srotamsi in the body act like conduits or roadways - transporting everything from blood, to air, to sensory information, to nutrients and waste. So come deepen your understanding of this beautiful, intricate, and important system.
