Learn to Live in Balance!

Ayurveda is a natural health and wellness system that originated in India more than 5,000 years ago. The word Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words Ayur, meaning “life”, and Veda, meaning “knowledge” - an ancient healing science centered around harmony and balance.

Universal interconnectedness lies at the heart of Ayurveda, coming to an understanding of our ideal state of balance (prakriti) and the constitutions of which we are composed (doshas) we can begin to discover, and then maintain our own personal balance.

In Ayurveda, we believe that illnesses can arise from a state of imbalance. This imbalance can present in our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual selves and is called vikruti. This can arise as a result of a change in location, our eating habits, the emotional experiences we carry, the change in seasons, or even the various stages of our life. Learn how Ayurveda encourages certain lifestyle interventions, therapies, and practices to regain balance between your body, mind, spirit, and environment.
