Liberating The Body: Developing a movement routine that serves you
Dates: COMING SOON
Movement is so much more than just exercise. It’s a key factor in supporting the healthy flow of prana - a Sanskrit term meaning "vital life force" - within our bodies, minds, and spirit. With intentional movement we can improve this flow of energy and nourish ourselves in the process.
In this 2 week immersion you will work with a group of Ayurvedic coaches, yoga teachers, and other specialists to learn how to craft a MOVE practice that serves YOU. We are all uniquely different - so this is not a prescriptive course, but an exploration designed to help you re-establish a healthy metabolism and digestive capacity, finding hormonal balance, and discovering joy in the flow of breath and movement.
The classical Ayurvedic texts define proper health as the harmony and balance of mind, body, and spirit. Come explore the fundamentals of beneficial movement from an Ayurvedic perspective - shifting our conception of exertion to consider what is appropriate movement? Ayurveda teaches us that like increases like, and opposites balance each other. This same concept can be applied to our movement, and we can use this insight to support ourselves moment to moment with what we need.
After this 14-day MOVE Immersion you will be equipped with daily movement practices that support healthy prana and will enable you to find a deeper connection between the physical and subtle layers of your being - supporting harmony in your mind, body, and spirit.
Topics we will cover in this immersive course
Join Mitesh Raichada, CAP, AyurPrana Founder and Senior Faculty at The Ayurvedic Institute, and Nishita Shah, CAP, ERYT-500, C-IAYT, Lead Ayuryoga Faculty at The Ayurvedic Institute, and as they guide you through an experiential process of how to develop a movement practice that serves your being.
Both Mitesh and Nishita are long-time students of internationally-renowned Ayurvedic physician and visionary Vasant Lad, BAM&S, MASc, and have spent many years supporting students and clients along their personal healing journey.

Prana - the life force in the breath
Prana, in Sanskrit means "vital life force". In Ayurveda we believe breath is life, that we are buoyed by the breath, one after the other, through our life. It’s our anchor to the present moment. Ayurveda is about coming to know ourSelves. When we learn how to read into ourselves and balance our prana we can begin to experience our highest and greatest potential.
Mind the breath
Mindful nose breathing allows you to tap into a meditative alpha state, increase your endurance, and help you experience union between all the aspects of your being. In this immersion we will explore harmonizing movement, breathing, and awareness - this is one of the methods we can use to bring ourselves into an elevated state of consciousness.
The numerous benefits of movement
Movement supports the body’s process of detoxification - kindling agni (the digestive fire mentioned in the Nutrition Pillar) while improving digestion, circulation, elimination, and lymphatic flow.
Movement also stimulates and activates the natural pathways of rejuvenation by helping release accumulated tension, clearing stagnant mental and emotional energy, improving our ability to relax, and supporting sound sleep.
